Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry is a critical component of our church, because we closely take note of how our Lord Jesus Christ loved and valued children during His ministry.
Vision
Our Children’s Ministry aims to create future generations that have come to know, adore and fear God from their childhood age, thus playing a key role in accomplishing our global vision as a church. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Mission
Our mission is to teach and train our children in the ways of God, catching them young and thereby creating God-fearing and God-loving future generations and leaders. (Proverbs 22:6). We are driven by the need to uphold our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, which must not die with us, but must be passed on to the future generations (our children), to make it consistent and continuous.
Objectives
- ● To teach the children about salvation and the word of God while they are still young (catch them while they are young).
- ● To teach the children that God created people and every living thing on the earth through His word.
- ● To teach the children that no one and nothing else must be worshipped except God.
- ● To teach the children what God expects them to do, (not to sin).
- ● To teach the children to pray.
- ● To teach the children to read the word of God.
- ● To teach the children to preach the word of God by word of mouth and by living like Christ wherever they are.
- ● To teach the children praise and worship.
- ● To identify and develop talents and gifts in the young children.
Ministry Activities:-
- ● Sunday Bible Lessons
These are bible lessons, aimed to instill the knowledge of God’s word in the children.
- ● Sunday Bible Study and Reading
This helps our children to know the ‘stories’ in the bible and give them an opportunity and encourage them to memorize bible verses.
- ● Sunday Praise and Worship
This helps our children to learn how to praise and worship the Lord. Gifts and talents can also be identified and nurtured at this tender age.
- ● Children’s Preaching
This helps our children to appreciate and learn how to preach the word of God. It also makes them value and desire the preaching of God’s word and appreciate senior preachers. Gifts and talents can also be identified and nurtured at this tender age.
